Calimero Z Stallion - Gloucestershire

Dark Bay, 16.1hh 2000 Sports Horse. 9" bone Sire: Caretano Z Dam: Nicolet ( Property of Mrs E A Winter )

Calimero z has it all; beautifully put together this extremely handsome stallion has the most wonderful temperament, world-class quality breeding, with his biggest asset being this trainability.

Imported to the UK in 2003 he has been produced slowly, in his early days he partook of both dressage and show jumping where he continually put up consistent results. Dressage became the main discipline in which he excelled, his marks and placings are a consistently high at every level, he has qualified for the nationals, he was listed as a junior team horse [where an untimely minor injury left him unable to attend final selection] and his career culminated with a solid performance at Grand Prix in 2012 where he shows an outstanding natural aptitude for piaffe and passage.

Calimero z has exceptional breeding for every discipline; his sire Caretino Z won the prestigious World Cup jumping championship for young horses under Jos Lansink and then went on to represent the Netherlands at the World Cup finals in Gothenburg. His grandsire Caretino is considered to be one of the best sires in Holstein breeding. Ridden and competed by Ludger Beerbaum became one of Germany's top stallions. As a young horse he won the state show jumping championships, he was placed 40 times in national and international competitions and was part of the successful Danish Nations cup team under Bo Kristoffersen. Cor de la Bryere needs no introduction himself and has the added advantage of containing a considerable amount of thoroughbred blood in his parentage.

Through Calimero z's dams line again we see an extremely successful well-known stallions Ramiro Z thought to be one of the most influential jumping stallions ever as a sports horse had numerous wins show jumping, up to and including International Grand Prix's, as well as being part of successful Nations Cups teams. His Dam Nicolet by Zeoliet was a great success at the performance test scoring 9.2 for dressage and 9.5 the jumping and his grand dam Sargab was one of the youngest ever to achieve the status Prestatie Predicate in the Netherlands's having produced both strong dressage and jumping lines.

Calimero z stamps his stock well and carries many of the successful traits forward to create a truly modern and successful sports horse that combines exceptional trainability and temperament, which is being carried forward's in his offspring who are beginning to make their mark in all three disciplines.
